I am actually an aviation student doing air transport management. I am actually interested in recognizing airplanes at the airport whether its a boeing or an airbus and which model is it.some pictures to illustrate would be appreciated

I look at how many engines it has and what are they (jet engine or propeller). Then I’ll have a look at the fuselage and the wings. I.e how does the nose look like and do the wings have winglets. And also I look at how many wheels has it got on the rear landing gear. i.e if it’s got 4 wheels on the 2 real landing gears it could be a 737 or something. If it has 16 it’s a 747, if it has 12 it’s a 777.
Hey there, I’m a senior at Daniel Webster College in Nashua NH. I’ve been majoring in flight operations and aviation management and the two websites I have found the most useful in identifying aircraft are listed below. For starters … I use Flightaware to see the schedule of arrivals and departures at a local airport … and if I don’t recognize the type of aircraft I’ll search for it on airliners.net and get a picture of what it looks like. After getting familiar with what’s coming in and out of the airport, i’ll take ride to it and see if I can identify the aircraft!
Hope this helps!
